The Daily Telegraph published an obituary for the duke of Edinburgh Wednesday, despite the fact he’s not dead.
Buzzfeed’s political editor Jim Waterson caught the gaffe and tweeted about it Wednesday morning.

The Telegraph’s headline read: “Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, dies aged XX.” The article quoted “palace insiders” as its source and replaced key pieces of information with Xs.
“The Duke of Edinburgh, the longest-serving consort to a monarch in British history, has died at the age of XX, Buckingham Palace has announced,” the piece read. “Prince Philip, whom the Queen described as her ‘strength and stay’ during her record-breaking reign, passed away XXXXXXX.”
The article was taken down minutes after it was published. Prince Phillip, Queen Elizabeth’s husband, has yet to publicly comment on the error.
A spokesman for the Telegraph apologized for the mistake and said they will be “reviewing our publishing processes as a matter of urgency.”
