MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” dubbed this Friday “Felony Friday” following Special Counsel Robert Mueller impanelling a grand jury in the Russia probe.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski was reminded of her first hashtag last Friday when she announced it was “Failure Friday” excitedly asking, “What should we call this one? Grand Jury Friday?!”
Scarborough replied, “I think actually, write it down children. Hashtag: Felony Friday.”
The panel erupted in laughter and mimicked the sound of a slot machine hitting the jackpot. “That’s a good one Joe,” said Brzezinski.
Mueller is expected to use the grand jury to issue further subpoenas, with the ultimate goal of securing indictments. Upon news of the grand jury, the stock market tumbled 2o points just four minutes after the story was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
