Dakota Allen, a star of the Texas Tech football team, was dismissed from the school in the spring of 2016. The football star was caught stealing a safe that was full of guns, according to 247sports.com.

Allen transferred to East Mississippi Community College to try and get a second chance at his football career. Allen was featured on the second season of the Netflix original “Last Chance U”. The series focuses on players like Allen, who have gotten into trouble or have had some sort of issues in the past and who need this second chance at playing their favorite game.

For Allen, everyone who knew him said it was very hard to believe that he would have been charged with armed robbery. He was always helping out his fellow teammates whether that was on the field or off.

While playing for EMCC, Allen had 117 tackles, two sacks and an interception in 12 games, according to 247sports.com. He will now be back in his role on the defense for Texas Tech, and this is something that almost never happens. Most of the players get an offer from a completely different school, but now one player is getting the chance to play for the school that started his college football career.
