Stephen Curry may be known for his buzzer beaters on the court, but what he may not be known for is his impressive golf game. Curry has shown his fans on social media that he enjoys playing a round or two during the off-season, but most people never thought he would play a professional round of golf.

Curry has said in the past, that if he did not play basketball he would have played golf professionally. The opportunity presented itself to Curry when got a sponsor exemption order to play in the event and was playing for the Warriors Community Foundation.

A few days before the event, Curry was spotted having some fun. He was first seen at former teammate Harrison Barnes’ wedding having quite a good time. He started impersonating LeBron James in front of Kyrie Irving, James’ teammate. Curry also decided to crash a house party and didn’t seem worried at all about his golf game.

On Thursday it was time for Steph to show what his golf game was all about. He had just spent the last few days partying, so this could have gone very poorly for the two-time NBA MVP. As it turns out, all that partying had no affect on Curry’s golf game. He made a couple birdies and made par on the 18th to secure an opening round of 4-over for 74.

Curry told golfweek.com, “If you told me I was going to shoot 74 going into the first round, I’d take that all day everyday.”
