Justin Juenemann is a red shirt senior placekicker for the University of Minnesota. Juenemann has not played in a single game since he started with the Golden Gophers in 2013.
Juenemann has spent a lot of time at the local children’s hospital in Minnesota according to cbssports.com. The head coach P.J. Fleck invited one of the patients named Kyle in for a team meeting. Kyle said that Juenemann is one of his favorite players after hearing that Fleck decided to give Kyle the chance to deliver an unforgettable surprise to Juenemann.
Juenemann caught the t-shirt and people started cheering. He started to sit down but was told to look at the t-shirt and read it. The t-shirt read, “Justin, congrats on earning a scholarship.” After he read it the entire room exploded with applause and cheering.
The coach made remarks about Juenemann recognizing his work ethic and noting he never gave up through the years.
