Deadspin had a hot take for the ages about ESPN on Tuesday.
The paradise of a sports websites for losers who can’t speak to women ran the story, “This ESPN Fantasy Football Auction Segment Is … Yikes.” It’s just as bad as it sounds.
The author wrote in part:
I don’t know if this tone-deaf fantasy football auction segment that ESPN2 aired yesterday, with its galling resemblance to a slave auction, means that nobody involved in its production saw or understood Get Out, or if they’ve never read a history book, or if they’re all just really dumb, nor do I know which of those options would be worse.

How did ESPN respond to this garbage? You’re probably guessing they stood their ground, and told all the loser sites like Deadspin, who also published the article today, “How To F*ck In The Woods, And Other Survival Tips,” they could go to hell.
Well, you’d be wrong. ESPN caved like the cowards they are, and apologized.
“Auction drafts are a common part of fantasy football, and ESPN’s segments replicated an auction draft with a diverse slate of top professional football players. Without that context, we understand the optics could be portrayed as offensive, and we apologize,” ESPN said in a statement released to USA Today’s site The Big Lead.
This is embarrassing all the way around. Deadspin is a site by losers and for losers, and ESPN caved quicker than the Iraqi military circa-2003.
Does anybody have a spine these days? Are backbones so rare that organizations are now forced to apologize when they do nothing wrong?
ESPN and Deadspin should both be incredibly embarrassed. Loser sites doing loser things. I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised.
