Good news, America: we’ve almost made it through our football drought.

We’re now only nine days away from the college football kickoff, and I couldn’t be prouder of everybody’s resolve during these tough and trying times.

Of course, NFL preseason is already back, but we all know that’s a joke and a poor excuse for football. The first game of the season kicks off 2:30 EST August 26 between Oregon State and Colorado. Is this game exciting? To be honest, I wouldn’t ever watch this game, but it’s the first game of the season. I can promise you I will be in front of my TV crushing a few cold ones watching the Beavers battle the Rams.

In a few days the big boys will return, and we’ll all get to watch Wisconsin, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, Florida State and USC return to action.

Stay tough, America. Our national nightmare is almost over and football will soon be back on our televisions.
