Jared Tucker, 42, of Walnut Creek, Calif., has been identified as one of the 13 victims who died at the scene of Thursday’s terror attack in Barcelona.

Tucker was in Spain with his wife Heidi Nunes to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary. The two had just enjoyed a few drinks on the Las Ramblas street when terrorists started plowing through pedestrians on the street.

“Next thing I know there’s screaming, yelling,” Nunes, 40, told NBC News. “I got pushed inside the souvenir kiosk and stayed there hiding while everybody kept running by screaming.”

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Friday that the U.S. Department of State had “received word and confirmed the death of one American citizen in the terrorist attack in Spain.” The State Department is still working on confirming deaths and injuries of other U.S. citizens, Tillerson said.

ABC News claims another American is among the more than 100 people who were injured in the attack.

“We also can confirm that another U.S. citizen sustained a minor injury,” an unnamed State Department official told ABC News. “Spanish authorities report that there are still several casualties who are not yet identified.”
