Hey, NYPD: Keep Kaep On The Bench Where He Belongs

In other absurdly hypocritical news, NYPD and law enforcement from surrounding boroughs gathered this weekend to demonstrate solidarity with former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick.

Yeah, you read that right. Police officers — the same ones Kaepernick has accused of being slave catchers — are actually claiming he’s right.

The officers chanted “We Support Kaep” at the rally. One said he “can confirm that the issues that he [Kaepernick] is saying, exist in policing and throughout the criminal justice system.”

Kaepernick doesn’t just compare police to slave catchers. He’s also been seen wearing socks portraying cops as pigs.

I have some very dear friends who are cops and I respect everyone in uniform. These people put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. It’s a noble profession and a thankless job.

There are people out there — like Kaepernick, Antifa, Black Lives Matter and others — who constantly rip on the police. They’re anarchists and they want to watch the world burn, starting with the U.S.

Remember the Million Marchers protest? Where marchers literally chanted “What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want them? NOW!”

I can’t understand why NYPD would side with Kaepernick. These people have regularly criticized the police at every available opportunity.

If NYPD thinks they’re making a strategic alliance with Black Lives Matter, they’re sorely mistaken. There’s no war between the NFL and cops.

You can be a cop and like football. That’s about as American as it gets. Our men and women in uniform shouldn’t allow themselves to be bullied by a mediocre NFL player and a couple of fringe anarchists who get coverage because they’re inflammatory losers. Cops should keep patrolling and keep Kaep on the bench where he belongs.
