Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy just mopped the floor with Office of Management and Budget director Mick Mulvaney in their friendly but aggressive Twitter war.

Mulvaney started the war by wishing Gowdy a “60th birthday” — Gowdy is actually turning 54 Tuesday — and promising to buy him “a razor and a comb” for his ever-changing hairstyles.

Gowdy didn’t take Mulvaney’s Twitter jab lying down, and he hit back twice as hard.

“I’m just a couple of haircuts away from equaling the number of staff departures by your WH colleagues,” Gowdy wrote to Mulvaney. “I get it. You are hard to work with.”

We’re scoring this one for Gowdy.
