Former Democratic Gov. Howard Dean of Vermont said the media should completely stop covering President Donald Trump Wednesday on Twitter.

Dean made the comment when responding to a tweet that accused Trump of having a crowd turn on a pool cameraman. He said the solution to ending Trump’s comments about the media is simple: The president should no longer be covered by any of the media.

“One time Trump had the crowd turn on a pool cameraman. A pool cameraman! A camera guy has no editorial say on Trump coverage,” Sopan Deb a writer for The New York Times tweeted.

“The solution is simple,” Dean responded. “Do not cover him.”

Dean is a longtime Democrat. As well as being the former governor of Vermont, he was the former chair of the Democratic National Committee, he was also a known advocate and supporter of Hillary Clinton in her 2016 presidential bid.

The New York Times writer responded to Dean, defending the media, saying, “really? Governor Dean, the president of the United States shouldn’t be covered?”

Dean responded, asking if America has a president.
