The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) hired a mariachi band to surprise a Democratic senator at one of his campaign stops over a report that established his ties to producing goods in Mexico instead of the United States.

The video, released on Wednesday, shows an authentic mariachi band playing at a recent campaign stop for Democratic Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly.

Donnelly earned the nickname “Mexico Joe” after a report was released last month that shows his family’s business manufactures some of its products in Mexico.

Following the report, Donnelly announced that he was selling his stock in his family’s business since he supposedly doesn’t support outsourcing jobs to foreign countries.

“Joe Donnelly can try to make Hoosiers forget about his family business’s outsourcing controversy,” an NRSC spokesman stated in a press release, “but we’ll make sure it’s the first thing on voters’ minds when they head to the polls in 2018.”

Donnelly is considered to be one of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats facing reelection in 2018.

“He’ll have to fight yet another tough battle if he wants to keep his Senate seat in a state Trump won by 19 points,” The Hill reported.
