Rob Gronkowski has not always been the biggest fan of preseason. The risk of injury is just as high in the preseason games, so it seems normal that Gronk might have an issue with it. Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a scary hit during the Giants, Browns game on Monday night, and you have to wonder why the NFL or the team would take the risk of putting in one of their best players before the regular season even starts.

The Patriots played the Houston Texans last weekend and lost 23-27, but Gronkowsoki said this about getting back on the field: “I’m glad I was out there. It felt good just to get the game speed. You can never get enough reps. You can never get enough practice reps. So it felt great to go out there and get my feet wet and see what it’s all about again.”

Back in 2015 Gronkoswki definitely did not have this perspective on the preseason. He said practice covered what he already knows.

He also said that he has adopted Tom Brady’s diet, which is part of his new outlook on preseason, according to CBS Sports. This diet includes no coffee or alcohol, but Gronk said he never really touched that stuff during the regular season anyway.

Overall, Gronk loves the game of football and wants to play for as long as he possibly can.
