Jon Runyan had a good run in the NFL from 1996 until 2009. After his NFL career, Runyan got into politics and became a U.S. Congressman, serving two terms from 2011 to 2015 in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Runyan is now heading into his second season as the NFL’s Vice President of Policy and Rules Administration. It clearly sounds like Runyon has been keeping himself busy since retiring from the NFL, but he has been wanting to do more.

According to phillyvoice.com, Runyan said, “Sometimes you’ll just be sitting around the house, my girls are out doing what they do, and the wife and I are sitting there like, ‘Are we doing anything tonight?’ and she’ll be like, ‘No.’ So I’ll say that I’m going to go open the Uber app and see if anyone needs a ride.”

After Runyon spent 14 seasons in the NFL and and two terms in the House of Representatives, he still gets stir crazy and just wants to get out of the house for a little while on the nights there is nothing going on.
