GOP Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas urged Congress to fill federal vacancies of the Trump administration to help streamline assistance for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

“What comes next is the United States Congress is going to have to come in to effort. We are going to have to figure out how we’re going to provide for these people, and what the federal component is. We need to make sure that the administration as well as the United States Senate finishes off the confirmation of every single federal official that could possibly related to this. The president is going to need his full team, now. Starting as quickly as possible,” Sessions said on CNN’s “New Day” Monday.

Sessions added the media was doing a good thing by focusing on the positive and highlighting how citizens have come together to help one another.

“What you’ve done today is amazing,” Sessions said to co-host Chris Cuomo.

“I wish I could be down there on the ground helping more but there seem to be a lot of our better angels down there. We’re seeing the worst of mother nature, but the best in human nature,” Cuomo replied.
