Officials at a small, very expensive liberal arts college in Wisconsin are ringing in the new academic year with a “#GetWoke lecture series” and a “#GetWoke” syllabus which frame the election of Donald Trump as an exercise in “racism,” “fascism” and “white supremacy.”

The “#GetWoke lecture series” will occur at Beloit College, a 1,400-student bastion bursting with idiosyncratic individualists who enjoy leftist politics. The 13-member staff of the fancypants school’s Office of Academic Diversity and Inclusiveness is organizing the effort.

A Beloit webpage about the “#GetWoke lecture series” informs students that Trump’s election has caused “a rise in the number of protests and organized forms of resistance to the current administration.” It also celebrates a number of historic protest movements including “the Red and Black Power Movements of the 1960s-70s.”

The #GetWoke series “is our way of bringing the liberal arts into practice,” explains another Beloit webpage.

Meanwhile, Beloit’s nine-page #GetWoke syllabus contain detailed reading materials which provide a “general overview of white supremacy, fascism, race and racism, and nation-state.”

The syllabus relates to series in the “#GetWoke lecture series.” The multitude of syllabus resources includes “Syllabus for White People to Educate Themselves.” “This syllabus was created by white people for other white people to begin the conversation on race and racism after the election of Trump.”

There’s also “All Monuments Must Fall.” “This is a crowd-sourced assemblage of materials relating to Confederate and other racist monuments to white supremacy; the history and theory of these monuments and monuments in general; and monument struggles worldwide.”

Still other syllabi topics include “#FergusonSyllabus,” “BlackLivesMatter Syllabus” and, of course, “Decolonizing Science.”

In addition, the master syllabus urges students to listen to a syllabus soundtrack which includes “Sound of Da Police,” a song by the rapper KRS-One. Sample lyrics for “Sound of Da Police” suggest that “the real criminals are the C-O-P.” Also: “Black people still slaves up ’til today, but the Black police officer nah see it that way” because black cops “want a salary” and “put on a badge and kill people for it.”

Attending various protests is “at the heart of what it means to demand the state sees you when you sit at the margins of society,” the syllabus explains.

Beloit also plans to host at least four panels featuring #GetWoke lecturers, reports Campus Reform.

Panel topics will include “radical self loves as a form of liberation.”

The cost for a single year of tuition, fees and room and board at Beloit is $57,142, according to the school’s website.

That impressive amount appears to be $1,938 more than the price tag for last year.

Beloit College is most famous, of course, because a Muslim student was arrested on campus last year for spray painting reprehensible anti-Muslim messages on his own dorm room door and then filing a report claiming that he was the victim of a hate crime. The student arrested for the totally fake hate crime, Michael Kee, allegedly created three spray-painted messages — all in bold red. One message read “Sand nigger go home.” A second message read “#muslimban.”

There was also a red swastika spray-painted on a wall across from Kee’s room on the third floor of Bushnell Hall, an ugly slab of concrete on the Beloit campus.
