Michael Bennett, a defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks, had a run in with law enforcement recently and details about it keep emerging.

Bennett was in Las Vegas for the highly anticipated fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather on August 26. Bennett was outside Drai’s Nightclub when the incident began. The cops had responded to a call for a possible shooting and he claims he didn’t do anything. He says he ran because everyone was running.

According to TMZ Sports, Bennett was not being cooperative when the cops told everyone to get on the ground in order to investigate the incident. Bennett began to run when they put him on the ground and held a gun to him. He was held by the police until they could determine Bennett did not have anything to do with the incident.

Bennett also alleged the cop yelled at him and said he was going to kill him. There has so far been no evidence provided to back up that claim.

Michael Bennett tweeted out Wednesday night a security camera picture of a cop holding a gun while pinning him to the ground.

Las Vegas police gave their side of the story in a press conference earlier Wednesday.
