In his first TV interview, President Trump‘s ex-Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, who was portrayed on SNL as the Grim Reaper, will reveal himself in the flesh this Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes.”
Charlie Rose will conduct the interview.
Back in February, American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp interviewed Bannon at CPAC along with his supposed BFF, ex-White House COS Reince Priebus.
“60 Minutes” is billing it as Bannon’s first extensive interview since leaving the White House.
Bannon whispers to a variety of journalists around Washington — many of whom work at Breitbart News, where he has returned since leaving the White House. But other journalists are also on his secret phone list.
Joshua Green interviewed Bannon extensively for his story in Bloomberg Businessweek. This is where you’ll see the infamous photograph of a disheveled Bannon letting it all hang out in shorts and a wrinkled pinstriped button-down. Green also covered him for his book, Devil’s Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump & the Storming of the Presidency.
But perhaps the most innovative story on Bannon goes to the The Tab, which six months ago hunted down a dermatologist to conduct a “deep dive” of Bannon’s face.
“You think of the drunken Irishman with the red nose, but I wouldn’t accuse him of being an alcoholic,” said Gregory Buford, MD. People with rosacea have dilation of the blood vessels, so it would be a stretch to call him out as an alcoholic. He just looks very unhealthy.”
