Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen said on CNN Thursday that even though President Trump is delaying the end of DACA by six months, the decision is still “worse than cruel.”
In fact, Rosen seemed to suggest that the six month delay was worse than ending DACA immediately because by punting to Congress, Trump is “playing with people’s lives.”
“To suggest that nobody has to worry for six months, is just outrageous,” Rosen said. “You’re playing with people’s lives here. You know, people who are trying to have lives, have careers, live with their families.”
“Just jerking people around the way he is doing because of politics is just worse than cruel,” she asserted. “And, you know, I think Democrats just want good policy.”
Rosen then referred to illegal immigrants as “legitimate folks” and claimed that Trump is making deals with Democrats because he doesn’t want to be associated with “the politics of division of destruction” from the Republicans.
