Law Enforcement officials in Plano, Texas have reported that eight people were gunned down in a home on Sunday night.
According to The Dallas Morning News, authorities first responded to a call at approximately 8 p.m. after receiving a report of shots fired in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb.
Upon entering the home, a police officer discovered several adult victims before locating and killing the suspected gunman, police spokesman David Tilley said.
Neighbors said the shooting occurred during a watch party for the Dallas Cowboys’ Sunday night game against the New York Giants.
“I’ve been here all my life,” Tilley said. “I’ve never heard of anything like this.”
Authorities are still not sure what relationship the shooter had with the nine adult victims – seven of whom died at the scene.
One witness said she heard intense arguing between a man and woman right before the gunfire erupted.
“As she was going to the house, he started letting go. Just started releasing,” Witness Crystal Sugg said.
