Hillary Was So Sure She’d Win, She Bought A Second House In Chappaqua

Schadenfreude is an ugly emotion, so you should be ashamed of yourself for thoroughly enjoying the following item. I know I certainly am.

Even in the middle of a gauzy, softball interview with Jane Freaking Pauley yesterday, Hillary couldn’t help but own herself. David Rutz, Washington Free Beacon:

Hillary Clinton was so confident of victory last year that she bought a second house next to her residence in Chappaqua, New York, to accommodate White House staff during presidential retreats there…

“Well, I know a lot about what it takes to move a president, and I thought I was going to win,” Clinton said.

“I couldn’t get the job done, and I’ll have to live with that for the rest of my life.” Although the sting of it fades a bit when you blame everybody else for your loss. That always helps.

We’re supposed to feel sorry for this woman, apparently? Oh no, she bought another house but then it turned out she didn’t even need it. Poor Hillary!

I don’t remember Romney writing a book about coming in second place. I don’t remember his consolation-prize media tour 10 months later. He knew better. His ego could handle it.

But if the Democrats really want to parade this awful, awful woman in front of America again, that’s great news for the GOP. Keep reminding everyone why we hated her so much that we actually elected Donald Trump rather than give her the satisfaction.
