ESPN says host Jemele Hill’s comments that President Donald Trump is a white supremacist don’t represent the views of the network.
“The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN,” the sports network’s public relations department said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. “We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”

Hill fired off a series of Tweets Monday night about Trump, and none of them were good. She accused Trump of being a white supremacist and a threat to the country. The tweets have yet to be deleted.
Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.

The height of white privilege is being able to ignore his white supremacy, because it’s of no threat to you. Well, it’s a threat to me.

Trump is the most ignorant, offensive president of my lifetime. His rise is a direct result of white supremacy. Period.

He has surrounded himself with white supremacists — no they are not “alt right” — and you want me to believe he isn’t a white supremacist?
— Jemele Hill (@jemelehill) September 11, 2017
No the media doesn’t make it a threat. It IS a threat. He has empowered white supremacists (see: Charlottesville).

It doesn’t seem that Hill will face any disciplinary actions from ESPN, which is further proof the network has a massive PR nightmare on its hand when it comes to the belief they have veered to the left.
The network previously fired Curt Schilling for publicly coming out against transgenders being allowed in whatever bathroom they’d like. That might not be acceptable at ESPN, but clearly calling the leader of the free world a white supremacist isn’t too big of a deal.
