The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League worked out Johnny Manziel a few weeks ago in an attempt to get him back into football.

According to the New York Post, Manziel has activated a 10-day clause that requires the team to debate three options: The team can either sign, trade, or release him.

A source said when he worked out for the team that Manziel raised too many red flags, but later said they were still considering him as an option for their team.

Manziel is still looking to play football after going a little wild while he was in the NFL. The quarterback went to rehab a few times and played only 15 games in two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. According to a source from ESPN, “This is something he very much wants.”

The Tiger-Cats are in last place with a 2-8 record, so signing Manziel could be a solution for them. This could also be Manziel’s chance at playing football again and he might actually do a good job since it is a Canadian team.

If the team cannot come to a consenus within the 10-day period, the other eight CFL teams will have the chance to make a bid on Johnny Football.
