South Carolina Gamecocks fans recently took a brutal swing at the Kentucky Wildcats.
Top Tier posted a photo on Instagram of a South Carolina banner that reads, “Kentucky Bachelor Contestants: Sister, Niece, Cousin.”
This is one of the reasons why I love college football so much. The fan bases get so chippy it’s unreal. People stop seeing each other as humans, and we begin seeing each other as enemies who must be destroyed no matter what the cost is.
There’s no more friendly handshakes, beers to be bummed or civil conversation to be had once the football season starts. It’s just a war between rabid fanbases. It’s the way it’s supposed to be.
Also, am I the only one who notices that nobody in the Big Ten ever trash talks their opponents by suggesting they have sex with their family members? I have never once seen a single member of the Big Ten insinuate a rival sleeps with their sister, cousin or niece. This must just be in the South, right?
It’s a bold move, but I love it.
