The Deshaun Watson era for the Houston Texans will officially begin tonight against the Cincinnati Bengals.
There has been a lot of speculation about whether or not Watson would officially be named the starter, but it looks like head coach Bill O’Brien finally made the call, according to a Thursday morning tweet from ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.
Deshaun Watson will be Texans’ 9th different starting QB tonight since 2014, more than the Browns and the most in the NFL in that span.

I couldn’t be more excited. I loved watching Watson play for the Clemson Tigers during his time in college. You can nitpick at his game all you want, but the guy just finds a way to win.
He reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson, and that’s as good a compliment that a rookie quarterback can get. No matter what happened during his time in college, Watson still fought tooth and nail to find a way to win.
The Texans have been a joke on offense these past few years. I think those days are officially over. Bring on the Deshaun Watson era.
