Pro-Palestinian activists at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are advocating violence against Zionists, whom they group with fascists and white supremacists.

Zionists achieved their dream of creating the Jewish state of Israel after fascists and white supremacists in Germany almost succeeded in annihilating all of the Jews in Europe.

The College Fix reports that the University of Illinois chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine sponsored a “Smash Fascism” event on Sept. 5 that was promoted on Facebook as a “radical anti-fascist demonstration” that would demonstrate how there was “no room for fascists, white supremacist or Zionists at UIUC.”

In a video obtained by The College Fix, a student is waving an Israeli flag that has been despoiled by handprints that appear to be dipped in blood and with the word “genocide” scrawled over the banner. The students are all shouting “no justice! No peace! No war in the middle East! No Zionists, no KKK, resisting fascists all the way.” Another favorite chant is the “no Trump, no KKK, no fascist U.S.A.!”

The group is clearly advocating violent action against Zionism. In its Facebook post, they talk of “violent resistance” that “also has its place” along with “nonviolence and civil disobedience.”

The non-profit pro-Israeli group StandWithUs, condemned this kind of language, telling The College Fix that it “strongly condemns Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for equating Zionism with white supremacy and fascism, trying to create a hostile environment for students who believe in Israel’s right to exist, and advocating violence. We call on the university administration to publicly condemn them as well.”

Despite the Palestinian students’ efforts to link Zionism with fascism, the historical and ongoing relationship between many radical Arab groups and Nazi-based anti-Semitism has been well documented.
