As Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin were on stage at the Emmys Sunday to introduce an award, they blasted President Trump as a “sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.”
WATCH:
Fonda opened, “Back in 1980, in that movie, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot!”
Tomlin responded, “And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot!”
The comments were met with applause and cheers from the Hollywood crowd.
Both Tomlin and Fonda took part in the anti-Trump “Women’s March.”
The Emmys are also being hosted by Stephen Colbert, who recently found himself in hot water for giving a Nazi salute on television.
Colbert has also said, in reference to Donald Trump, “you talk like a sign-language gorilla that got hit in the head,” and “the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s cock holster,” a comment which some found homophobic.
