The Trump White House has a female-run press and communications operations partially due to the president’s preference for advice from women, The Daily Caller has learned.

A source who speaks frequently with the president told TheDC that Trump said he believes men always consider their own interests when giving advice. Trump thinks women are more likely to put their own interests aside, TheDC’s source said.

Four women hold key roles in the White House: press secretary Sarah Sanders, communications director Hope Hicks, counselor Kellyanne Conway, and senior adviser Ivanka Trump.

While Ivanka has Trump’s ear, Hicks is arguably Trump’s most trusted aide, according to a source with knowledge of their relationship. Hicks will be frequently by Trump’s side and relied on for information or advice.

“That is just natural for Donald Trump to hire and elevate women to high positions,” Conway told NBC News.

Decades before one Access Hollywood tape grabbed the world’s attention, Trump hired a woman to manage the construction of Trump Tower. His most trusted assistant, who people still contact to reach the president, is Rhona Graff.

The engineer that ran the Trump Tower construction, Barbara Res, wrote in a Daily News op-ed that “I never thought that Trump would hire a man over an equally qualified woman. On the contrary, I think he is more comfortable around women.”

“He leered at attractive female employees. Yet I would call him more of a womanizer than a sexist, sort of like Bill Clinton,” Res added.
