Reporters from The Daily Caller News Foundation interviewed supporters of Hillary Clinton on their way to a book signing of “What Happened” Monday in Washington, D.C.

“Whatever Hillary did, people were going to comment negatively, so if she was loose, people would say that she isn’t serious,” one attendee told TheDCNF. “It’s pretty much what Michelle Obama did. They keep upping the ante.”

Another attendee affiliated with the gun control group “Moms Demand Action” felt that Clinton was the only suitable candidate for the Oval Office. “Hillary Clinton was the single most qualified candidate in the history of America,” the supporter said. “She’d been secretary of state, she’d been a senator, she had more experience coming into the campaign than anybody.”

Clinton hosted “An evening with Hillary Clinton” at the Warner Theater just blocks from the White House Monday evening. The theater has a capacity of 1,847 seats, and the event was sold out days in advance as former Clinton staffers, supporters, and volunteers rushed to spend time with the former presidential hopeful.

“What Happened” is available on Amazon.
