“Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough praised fellow MSNBC host Willie Geist during the program’s 10-year anniversary Tuesday, and said if he had to host the show alone with Mika Brzezinski, fans would have tuned out.
Activst Rev. Al Sharpton commended Morning Joe’s programming for being able to host discussions with those they disagreed with. That’s when Scarborough gave most of the credit to Geist for the show’s success, saying, “You know what the secret is? Willie Geist.”
Scarborough claimed that if Geist wasn’t hosting with him, the show would be too much for viewers to handle.
“You keep missing it. The chemistry isn’t Mika and me. The chemistry is Mika, me and Willie. Because Mika and me alone we’re just a little much. We’re just too much. There’s too much crazy there. It’s like two cats in a bag fighting each other,” he said.
