ABC has reportedly approved a new sitcom series based on an illegal immigrant family living in the United States.

The upcoming show, called “Sanctuary Family,” is about a married couple who welcome their undocumented nanny and her family into their home to live with them, according to a description provided to Fox News. The decision causes conflict between the couple at first, but as time goes on the hosts learn that “the differences both families have aren’t as significant as their similarities.”

The issue of illegal immigrants has been a top concern for President Trump and something he promised to solve during his run for the presidency.

The ABC show comes after a considerable amount of attention on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The executive order, put in place by then-President Barack Obama in 2012, allows illegal aliens who were brought to the United States by their parents to remain in America under certain circumstances.

Trump is considering putting an end to the legislation, which has caused a massive uproar from the left.

David Feeney, writer and co-executive producer of Fox’s “New Girl,” will write and executive produce the upcoming ABC show.
