President Donald Trump said at his rally in Alabama on Friday that he wishes NFL owners would fire any player who disrespects the U.S. flag and national anthem by declaring they should “get that son of a bitch off the field.”
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, he’s fired!’” Trump exclaimed.
Trump’s comments reverberated throughout social media where many on the political left used the opportunity to skew what he said while others were left simply stunned that he said “son of a bitch.”
When was the last time a sitting President said “son of a bitch” on purpose at a rally?
Has that ever happened?
It’s VERY telling. https://t.co/v2I6tf5ZHq

White House correspondent Jared Rizzi said the president’s remarks were referring to players who disrespect the U.S. flag, not players seeking racial justice.
“Get that son of a bitch off the field”- black man protesting racial injustice
“Very fine people”- white people demanding racial injustice

Washington Post White House reporter and CNN political analyst Abby Phillip stated that Trump referenced Colin Kaepernick when he did not. Numerous NFL players have kneeled during the national anthem besides the now unemployed NFL quarterback.
Trump, referencing Colin Kaepernick, says “Get that son of a bitch off the field.”

ESPN’s Jemele Hill, who has been widely criticized for her assertions that President Trump is a white supremacist, couldn’t resist commenting on what the president said.
Prediction: Not one NFL owner, not Roger Goodell will say one word about what he said about Kaep or other NFL players. Not. A. One. https://t.co/tBv3Q5FZHp

ESPN executive producer of the Dan Le Batard Show, Mike Ryan, said in his tweet. President Trump has condemned Nazis and has publicly disavowed David Duke and the KKK numerous times.
If u cant c the problem w/ POTUS holding back on criticizing Nazi’s but calling a QB “a son of a bitch”, a klans hood is obstructing ur view
