A heartsick man allowed his deadly pet snake to bite him and committed a livestreamed suicide after his wife left him in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Arslan Valeev, 31, a snake expert and former zoo employee, allowed his pet black mamba snake to bite him. In the disturbing video, he shares the pain after his wife Ekaterina ‘Katya’ Pyatyzhkina left him, reported The Sun.

The couple previously ran YouTube channels called BobCat TV, about felines, and Exotarium, about snakes.

Valeev accused his ex-wife of cheating on him and allegedly beat her on Aug. 4.

In the distressing video, Valeev shows his snake bite and viewers watch him visibly deteriorate and lose consciousness.

“I’m already dying. Farewell. I would be glad to see Katya. Damn, I’m shaking,” said Valeev, as he read out his ex-wife’s contact information, urging a viewer to reach her. He added that he would stay on the live stream following his death in case his ex-wife tries to reach his cell phone.

“Pass on to Katya that I loved her very much,” added Valeev.

Following the stream, medics were unable to save him. He died soon afterward.
