WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Daily Caller News Foundation covered another action-packed protest Tuesday afternoon in an episode of “Protester Gameday.”

Two DCNF reporters covered a crowd of protesters that showed up to stage an unexpected “die-in” inside of the U.S. Capitol, where the protesters covered themselves in white sheets and acted as if they were deceased while other protesters chanted “Save our health care,” until Capital Police officers eventually arrested and removed them.

Protesters said they are doing this to send a message to Republicans, claiming they would lose their lives over the GOP’s Graham-Cassidy health care bill.

The recent Republican proposal would repeal major portions of Obamacare. Protesters were so unruly Monday that GOP Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah was forced to recess the hearing until all protesters were forcibly removed from the room.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, with Sens. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy standing behind him, announced Tuesday that the Graham-Cassidy bill will not be brought to the Senate floor for a vote before the budget reconciliation deadline.

“We haven’t given up on changing the American health care system,” McConnell told a group of reporters. “We aren’t going to be able to do it this week.” (RELATED: Graham Insists Obamacare Repeal Isn’t Dead)

The majority leader said the next move for the party is to shoot for tax reform before coming back to health care.

“What I would expect is that we take a clear shot at taxes. We’ll use the time to come up with a better process for health care,” Graham told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “We will have a debate worthy of a great country and when taxes are over early next year, which is what I envision, we’ll go back to repealing and replacing Obamacare.”
