TNT’s drama “The Last Ship” might be the most entertaining show on television right now.
The military show centers around the Navy ship U.S.S. Nathan James as it travels around the world trying to save everybody from an apocalyptic plague. It’s an incredible journey with plenty of twists and turns.
I strap in every Sunday night to watch what Captain Tom Chandler and his crew will do week after week to save the world. There’s not a second that goes by in any episode that I’m not drawn in and entertained.
One of the main reasons “The Last Ship” is so awesome is the show doesn’t take itself too seriously. It seems like every single show on television these days is trying to push a political message.
“The Last Ship” doesn’t waste anytime on that garbage. The only messages the show promotes are that Navy ships are awesome, shootouts are very entertaining, and apocalyptic plagues are not cool. That’s the easiest formula I’ve ever heard of for a winning show.
I don’t want to jump the gun, but it might be the best entertainment on television right now.
