Julia Louis-Dreyfus Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has revealed that she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer.

“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one,” the 56-year-old actress wrote.

“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union,” she continued. “The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.” (RELATED: Trump Responds To ‘Worst Ever’ Ratings At The Emmys)

Louis-Dreyfus has been a force in television since her days as Elaine Benes on “Seinfeld.” Now she stars in the hit HBO series “Veep” as Selina Meyer. Louis-Dreyfus recently won a record-breaking sixth Emmy award for her role in the series.
