MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell claimed to be a big fan of “Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus but couldn’t figure out how to pronounce her name Friday.

WATCH:

Mitchell and her guests brought up Louis-Dreyfus’ recent breast cancer diagnosis, and Mitchell declared, “I am such a fan of Julia Louis-Dreyfus and the show ‘Veep.'”

However, several times throughout the panel discussion, Mitchell was unable to correctly pronounce Louis-Dreyfus’ name. At one point, she stressed the ‘s’ in “Louis,” and stuttered multiple times while trying to say “Dreyfus.”

The constant slip-ups forced the segment, which was supposed to be touching and emotional, to become rather awkward.

Despite Mitchell’s mistakes, we are sure she had the best of intentions with the segment and wish Julia Louis-Dreyfus a speedy recovery. Louis-Dreyfus said she was diagnosed with breast cancer the day before she won an Emmy for the hit show “Veep,” although the diagnosis did not factor into her decision to end the show.
