Marilyn Manson was crushed on stage by props during his concert Saturday night in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom, according to Variety.

The 48-year-old singer was in the middle of singing a cover to “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These)” by the Eurythmics when he tried to climb a ladder on stage that was flanked by two giant fake pistols, when the structure fell on top of him.

Video captured on social media show him falling backward as the structure comes down. (RELATED: Stevie Wonder Kneels ‘For America’ At Global Citizen Festival [VIDEO])

“Manson suffered an injury towards the end of an incredible NYC show. He is being treated at a local hospital,” a rep for the singer told the outlet.

Witnesses told the Daily Mail people rushed the stage to help the “The Beautiful People” singer, but it was several minutes before fans saw Manson carried off the stage on a stretcher. Concert goers were told the rest of the concert was cancelled “due to injury.”

Manson kicked off his “Heaven Upside Down Tour” two days prior in Maryland. At this time there is no word on the status of upcoming tour dates.
