“Sunday Night Football” ratings came in five percent lower than last week’s and two percent lower than the corresponding broadcast last year, Deadline reported Monday.
After another day of National Football League players protesting by kneeling and sitting during the national anthem, the “SNF” game came in with an 11.0/19 in metered market households for the Seattle Seahawks game against the Indianapolis Colts. Whether those numbers were because of the protests or because the game was a blowout, NBC and the NFL did not come away with a win for the night. The Seahawks handily beating the Colts 48-16.
It was another hit for the 2017-2018 NFL season, which has taken a hit in the ratings for the first few weeks of games.
