It’s always anybody’s guess who will take the top spot on our top 5 dumbest media takes, but today is special because there were so many idiotic moments to choose from between liberal journalists pushing for gun control after the Vegas shooting and deriding the Trump administration for its response to Hurricane Maria.
One opinion writer for CNN, for example, seems to think that angry white men are to blame for all mass shootings in the U.S., despite the fact that statistics show they’re actually less likely to commit mass shootings. Let’s also not forget that there doesn’t seem to be a binding ideology that connects white male shooters, while radical Islam is the ideology that connects many terrorists. In other news, “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel is back on his political soapbox, Chris Cuomo practically throws a temper tantrum when someone calls CNN fake news, and one MSNBC host may have been hitting the bottle a little too hard.
