Stop me if you’ve ever heard this one before: Bret Bielema and Arkansas got kicked up and down a football field this weekend.

Bielema and the Hogs traveled to South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks, and as usual, I was locked in watching the game.

I traveled to meet up with a couple coworkers at a Hooters in downtown D.C. before the hockey game. You can’t imagine how surprised I was to learn that Hooters didn’t carry the SEC network, which was broadcasting the game. Luckily, I’m a smart guy and always have a backup plan.

I whipped out my iPad, ordered a bunch of beers and watched Bielema’s downfall continue. The Gamecocks absolutely destroyed the Hogs, and I enjoyed it more and more with every beer passed my way. Watching the Razorbacks struggle so badly was great comedy. His team looked like a bunch of middle schoolers.

At one point I even thought about calling out for mercy. For God’s sake, the man has a family.

The former Wisconsin coach is now a pathetic 3-8 against Power 5 teams since the war between us got started. I wonder where I should send the rent checks for all the space I must be taking up in his head. The guy had the program headed in the right direction, and then I had to destroy it.

Was it something I wanted to do? It was not, but sometimes things just must be done.
