Bill Pruitt, a producer for “The Apprentice,” has been on an anti-Trump crusade since October of 2016.

When the Access Hollywood tape was leaked last year, Pruitt tweeted out that there are “far worse” things on Trump.

Which obviously led to a deluge of Trump haters begging Pruitt to leak this supposed tape of Trump saying the N-word already.

Obviously nobody did this. Access Hollywood was leaked strategically a month before the election. There’s no reason this alleged tape hasn’t come out of the woodworks too if it’s real.

Unless, of course, it doesn’t exist.

This producer recently went on NPR to pretty much exclusively rag on Trump. Naturally, the “Apprentice” tapes come up.

He said when pushed about Trump and racist allegations:

We recorded constantly. We went into the boardroom to set up discussions about how and who should get fired without talking and saying directly who got fired, so there was a big, long exchange, all of which was recorded…Out of those exchanges came some really unfathomably despicable words said by this guy who is a TV star. I heard it. I watched it, and those things are somewhere in some warehouse.

Of course, Pruitt doesn’t take any culpability for the racist remarks. He wipes himself completely clean of any blame:

That’s a really good question. It was not my place to be, hey, TV star, you know, reason we’re all here, shut your [expletive] damn mouth, and don’t ever, ever repeat what you just said. Of course, you know, you think that. You go back to your hotel room or your apartment that they put you up in. And you know, you do some soul-searching.

Pruitt goes on to attack Trump’s net worth, his Atlantic City properties, and his carpet choices. He says he only accepts blame for being a good producer and transforming Trump into a “cultural icon.”

I’d also like to just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Pruitt never once comes out and says Trump himself is a racist. Instead he says “TV star.”

I don’t want to overuse the phrase “witch hunt” but…if the shoe fits.
