Lombardo now claims that they believe Jesus Campos, a security guard at the hotel, was shot six minutes before Paddock opened fire on the country music concert below.
Police originally thought Campos was shot after the shooting already began. However, their story is now changing.
Seven days have now passed since the worst mass shooting in modern American history, and the police still know little about the shooter’s motivations.
The Islamic State claimed the attack several times, but no evidence exists to support that claim.
Paddock killed 58 people and injured hundreds more last Sunday. His girlfriend, Marilou Danley, claims to know nothing about the shooting, and insists she has a “clean conscience.”
