Fox News’ Tucker Carlson derided Democrats for “openly encouraging” illegal immigration through their support of sanctuary cities and DACA.

In an interview with Fox anchor Harris Faulkner, the Daily Caller founder said there is no question that Democrats are trying to skirt federal law–particularly in their support of sanctuary cities–in order to promote illegal immigration to the United States.
“Nancy Pelosi last week congratulated in public, on camera, illegal immigrants for coming here illegally,” he explained. “You have a party–and I don’t think I’m overstating this, she’s the most powerful member of the House on the Democratic side–they are openly encouraging illegal immigration to this country.”
Carlson also questioned why Democrats are opposed to the points-based immigration system being pushed by the White House.
“It’s a really simple concept,” he said. “A billion people would move here tomorrow if we allowed them to–why don’t we see if we can get people to move here who benefit our country?”
“Why is that a crazy idea? It’s not and it has overwhelming support if you ask the public.”
