CNN’s Dana Bash attacked President Obama and Michelle Obama for their silence Tuesday on the mounting allegations against famous film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Bash said, “Where are the Obamas? Where is Michelle Obama? Where is President Obama? He was and probably still is a big supporter of him and his political efforts. And just let’s just pretend the shoe was on the other foot and this was a Republican, somebody who is in Hollywood, who is a Republican alleged to have done these things and gave to Republican Presidents.”
“Can you imagine the outrage if they weren’t condemning this behavior? I mean, it makes no sense at all that they are not coming out and saying something. Nevermind the question of of the donations,” she added.
CNN’s Chris Cillizza also brought up Michelle Obama’s 2013 praise of Weinstein.
Weinstein is a longtime financial supporter and friend of the Democratic Party. Hillary Clinton and several other Democrats have now condemned Weinstein after a number of allegations have emerged about his conduct around women, ranging from creepy harassment to outright assault.
