CNN’s Brian Stelter offered a pitifully rude mention of NBC reporter Ronan Farrow‘s explosive exposé in The New Yorker that came out Tuesday.
The crux of the piece is that there are three women who claim that Harvey Weinstein raped them as well as a slew more who say they endured his sexual misconduct and harassment. Farrow first reported the jarring confession of Asia Argento, an Italian film actress who says Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her. She feared the powerful Hollywood mogul would “crush her.”
For some reason, Stelter felt the need to feature Farrow’s work but simultaneously treat him like he’s a child. Sure, the Woody Allen hater may look like a small boy. But why treat him like that? Why not treat him with a modicum of respect?
In his late-night media newsletter, Stelter said that Argento “confirmed” the news in Farrow’s story. What the fuck? Why is the CNN host serving as a fact checker for Farrow and, for that matter, The New Yorker?
