‘NBC Is LYING’: Tucker Slams Network For Holding Blockbuster Weinstein Story
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson slammed NBC News Thursday over their treatment of the Harvey Weinstein story.
“So let’s be clear. NBC is lying,” Carlson said, in reference to the network’s claims over the spiking of Ronan Farrow’s blockbuster story on Harvey Weinstein’s sexual abuse. Farrow’s story, delayed by NBC News, was taken to The New Yorker and published this week.
The Daily Caller co-founder asked, “Why did a purported news organization kill a blockbuster news story? Presumably we will find out at some point. This is a scandal and the truth has a way of emerging from those in the end. One possible explanation is Noah Oppenheim. In the addition to being the head of NBC News, he is a screenwriter with deep ties to the movie business and the Democratic Party establishment. Could it be that Oppenheim had a business relationship with the company?”
“It is not a far-fetched possibility as all, and yet as of today, Oppenheim refused to say. Oppenheim ought to resign immediately, and if he doesn’t, he ought to be fired immediately by NBC’s parent company, Comcast. News executives are not allowed to tell lies. They are not allowed to participate and cover ups. They ought to answer straightforward question straightforwardly. When they don’t, you know they are corrupt, and that is exactly what NBC News is,” he added.
Carlson also commended MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow for inviting Farrow on her show Wednesday to discuss the Weinstein story.
