The mainstream media is relying on Russia for their ratings even though the American people have moved on, Editor-in-chief of The Daily Caller News Foundation Christopher Bedford said Tuesday on “Happening Now.”
“There’s not too much to beat out of the Russian investigation anymore,” Bedford said during the Fox News interview. “Unless you’re one of the lower rated stations that basically relies on this Russian conspiracy theory, there’s really nothing to talk about. There’s no new evidence that’s come out.”

Trump did the right thing by distancing himself from the investigation and believes the story will continue to wind down on its own, Bedford said.
“He’s actually followed the advice of his lawyers, he’s taken a step back off this investigation. And he seems to plan to let it fizzle out,” Bedford said. “As he said yesterday, I think quite correctly, the American people aren’t too interested in this investigation anymore.”
