Jennifer Lawrence discussed her own experience with sexual harassment in Hollywood during a speech Monday.

Lawrence called her situation “degrading and humiliating,” while speaking at Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood event Monday.

Lawrence spoke about harassment from both men and women during an unnamed film she acted in. During one incident, Lawrence said she was pressured to do a nude lineup with other women in order to motivate her to lose weight.

Lawrence had to stand next to other, thinner women. “The female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet,” she recalled.

One girl in the same film was fired for not losing weight fast enough, Lawrence said.

“I asked to speak to a producer about the unrealistic diet regime, and he responded by telling me he didn’t know why everyone thought I was so fat, he thought I was perfectly ‘fuckable,'” added Lawrence.

Lawrence didn’t speak up sooner because she “didn’t want these embarrassing stories talked about in a magazine.”

“I just wanted a career,” she said.

She was “deeply disturbed” to hear about Harvey Weinstein’s behavior, she told Variety.

“I worked with Harvey five years ago, and I did not experience any form of harassment personally, nor did I know about any of these allegations,” she said. “This kind of abuse is inexcusable and absolutely upsetting.”

Lawrence thanked the women who spoke up against Weinstein for their “bravery.”
