New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito called President Donald Trump’s response to Hurricane Maria sadistic and sociopathic Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“There’s also a level of sadistic behavior on the part of this president that the people that are suffering — that you again in less than a week say that you are going to turn your back on them,” Viverito said.
She claimed Trump’s behavior shows a lack of empathy for Puerto Rico, and said the president is acting like a sociopath.
“I don’t understand what is going through the mind, this is pathological behavior. It is sadistic, and it is sociopathic. I’m very serious. This is a level of, lack of empathy that just is egregious. And so we have to call it out for what it is,” she concluded.
